My content isn't showing on my website

Work through these checks if a tour, tooltip, highlight or popup isn't appearing for your visitors.

Who can do this: All Flook users. Some fixes need an admin.

Check these, in order

1. Is it published?

Drafts don't show on your website. In the dashboard, check the Status column says Published. See Publish and unpublish.

2. Have you waited a minute and refreshed?

Published changes can take up to 1 minute to appear. Clear your browser's cache and refresh the page.

3. Is the Flook snippet on this page?

The snippet must be on every page where you want Flook to work. Check it's in the page's <head>, and that it's been copied exactly, including the word defer. See Add Flook to your website.

If you have more than one company, make sure the snippet is from the right one.

4. Is this website allowed?

If Allow all domains is off, Flook only runs on your main website and your Allowed domains. An admin can check this in Settings → Websites.

Watch out for small differences. www.yourdomain.com and yourdomain.com are different websites. Use *.yourdomain.com to cover both. See Allow Flook on more than one website.

5. Does the page match the item's page settings?

Open the Flook Builder on the page and click List Tours and Widgets. If the item shows Does not match this page, change its page settings. See Choose which pages an item shows on.

For a tour, check the badge in Tour Launch Settings says Tour would start on the current page. See My tour doesn't start, or starts again from the beginning.

6. Is the element on the page?

Tooltips, highlights and tour steps need the element they point to. If it isn't on the page, or has changed, you'll see Target element no longer found on this page in the Flook Builder. See "Target element no longer found on this page".

7. Have you already seen it?

Items set to show Once, Every Session or After remember that you've seen them. Try a private (incognito) window. See See an item again while testing.

8. Is your browser window narrow?

If Hide on mobile is on, the item won't show when the browser window is 640 pixels wide or less.

9. Does it have a button that starts a tour?

An item with a Launch tour button doesn't show if the tour is unpublished. See Start a tour from a button.

10. Is a tour running?

While a tour is running, other highlights and popups on the page close.

11. Has your trial ended?

When your trial ends, content stops showing on your website. See Your free trial and upgrading.
