Add Flook to your website

Add the Flook snippet to your website so your visitors can see the content you publish.

Who can do this: All Flook users can copy the snippet. Adding it to your website usually needs whoever manages your website's code.

Before you start

  • You only need to do this once.
  • The snippet is different for each company. Make sure you're in the right company before you copy it. The company name is shown at the top of the left-hand menu.

Steps

  1. In the dashboard, click Install in the left-hand menu.
  2. Under Step 3 Publish to your web site or app, click the copy button next to the code.
  3. Paste it as the first item in the <head> section of every page where you want to use Flook. If you're not sure how, send the code to whoever looks after your website.
  4. Publish the change to your website as you normally would.

What happens next

Once the snippet is on your website, any tours, tooltips, highlights and popups you publish will start showing there.

Tips

  • Copy the snippet exactly as it is. Don't remove the word defer, because Flook may not start without it.
  • If you see your-id-here in the snippet, your company doesn't have a main website yet. See Manage your websites.
  • Flook only shows content on the websites your company allows. See Allow Flook on more than one website.
  • Flook waits until a page has finished loading before it shows anything.

Troubleshooting

If you've added the snippet and your content still doesn't appear, see My content isn't showing on my website.
