Add, reorder and delete tour steps

Add new steps to a tour, change their order, edit them or remove them.

Who can do this: All Flook users

Before you start

Open the tour in the Flook Builder. Click List Tours and Widgets, open the Tours tab and click the tour.

Add a step at the end

  1. In the bar at the bottom of the page, click Add Step (+) at the end of the current page's steps.
  2. Choose Tooltip or Popup. You can also choose Navigate to next page to add a step on another page. See Build a tour that spans several pages.
  3. For a tooltip step, click the element on the page.
  4. Edit the step, then click Save Step.

Add a step in between

  1. Hover over the arrow between two steps until you see Insert Step.
  2. Choose Tooltip or Popup.
  3. Edit the step, then click Save Step.

Edit a step

  1. Click the step's icon in the bottom bar. Hover over it first to see Edit and the step's name.
  2. Make your changes, then click Save Step.

Reorder steps

Drag a step's icon to a new position within the same page.

Delete a step

  1. Open the step.
  2. Click the delete button at the top of the page.
  3. Confirm with Delete?, which says "Are you sure you want to delete this tour step? This cannot be undone".

Tips

  • Tooltip steps dim the page and leave the selected element visible by default. You can change this under Backdrop in the step's settings.
  • Steps in a tour can't have their own launcher icon, or their own frequency or page settings. The tour controls these.
  • Click Save Tour when you've finished, so your changes to the tour are saved.
