Add buttons and choose what they do¶
Add one or two buttons to an item, and choose whether they close it, open a web page or start a tour.
Who can do this: All Flook users
Steps¶
- In the Flook Builder, open your tooltip, highlight or popup.
- If it doesn't have a button yet, hover between two blocks, click + and choose Button.
- Click the button's text to change it.
- Click the button to select it. The panel shows Button Settings.
- Under Number, choose One button or Two buttons.
- Choose an Alignment.
- For each of Button 1 and Button 2:
- Choose a Type: Primary, Secondary or Link.
- Choose an Action:
- Close widget closes the item.
- Open URL opens a web page. Enter the URL, then choose a Target: Same window or New window.
- Launch tour starts a tour. Choose the Tour.
- Click Save.
Tips¶
- Images can have an action too. Select the image and choose an Action in Image Settings.
- Inside a tour, Launch tour isn't available, because visitors move through the tour with Previous and Next.
- What the buttons look like is set by your theme. See Create and edit a theme.
Troubleshooting¶
"Selected Tour Unpublished"¶
The tour you've chosen is a draft. While a tour is unpublished, the item with this button won't show on your website. Publish the tour first.
"This widget is being created on a page that doesn't match the tour's dynamic URL. This button will never be able to launch the tour from this page."¶
The tour's start page uses a pattern that doesn't match the page this item is on, so Flook can't work out where to start the tour from here. See Start a tour from a button.
My Open URL action disappeared¶
If the web address isn't valid, the action is reset. Enter a full address that starts with https://.
