Add images and embeds

Add a picture, or embed something like a video, in a tooltip, highlight, popup or tour step.

Who can do this: All Flook users

Add an image

  1. In the Flook Builder, open the item.
  2. Hover between two blocks, click + and choose Image.
  3. Click Add image file and choose a file, or drag a file onto it. You can use png, jpeg, gif or svg files up to 10MB.
  4. Click the image to select it, then change its Image Settings if you need to:
    • Scale to fit makes the image fill the width of the item. Turn it off to set your own Width (in % or px) and Alignment.
    • Action sets what happens when someone clicks the image: None, Launch tour, Open URL or Close widget.
    • To swap the picture, click Choose, then Replace Image.
  5. Click Save.

Add an embed

Use an embed to show content from another service, such as a video.

  1. Copy the embed code from the other service. For example, YouTube gives you embed code when you choose Share and then Embed.
  2. In the Flook Builder, hover between two blocks, click + and choose Embed.
  3. Click the embed block and paste your code into the box that says Paste your embed code here....
  4. Optional: in Embed Settings, change the Width, Height and Alignment, or turn on Scale to fit.
  5. Click Save.

Tips

  • Some embeds don't display properly in the editor. Use preview to check everything loads. See Preview your work.
  • If your embed has a fixed or minimum width, click Widget width settings and make the item wider.
  • Your website's security settings may stop some embeds from loading. If an embed works in the editor but not on your live website, check with whoever manages your website.

Troubleshooting

"The file must be an image, please choose either a png, jpeg, gif or svg."

Save your image in one of those formats and try again.

"The file is too large, please make sure it is 10MB or smaller."

Make the image smaller (for example, by resizing or compressing it) and try again.

"There was a problem uploading the file. Please try again."

Check your internet connection and try again.
