Edit the content of an item

Change the text, headings, images and other blocks inside a tooltip, highlight, popup or tour step.

Who can do this: All Flook users

Before you start

Open the item in the Flook Builder. Its content is shown on the page and you can edit it in place.

How content is built

Each item is made of blocks, stacked one above another. You can use:

  • Heading
  • Subheading
  • Text
  • Image
  • Embed (for example a video)
  • Button
  • Divider

Steps

Edit text

  1. Click into a heading or text block and type.
  2. Select some text to show the formatting toolbar. You can use Bold, Italic, Underline, Color, Text Align, Ordered List, Bullet List, Link and Clear Styles.

Add a block

  1. Hover between two blocks until a + appears.
  2. Click + and choose the block you want: Heading, Subheading, Text, Image, Embed, Button or Divider.

Move a block

Drag the block to a new position.

Delete a block

  1. Click the block to select it.
  2. Click the bin icon at the edge of the item.
  3. Click it again when it asks Are you sure?.

You can't delete the last remaining block.

Change a block's settings

Click a block to select it. The settings panel switches to Block Settings for that block. For example, for a heading or text block you can change Justify (left, centre or right).

Tips

  • Click Back at the top of the page, or press Esc, to leave the item. If you have unsaved changes, you'll be asked to Cancel, Discard or Save and Continue.
  • The close button, Flook branding and tour controls can be selected too, to change their alignment.
  • To change fonts, colours and spacing for all your items at once, use a theme. See Create and edit a theme.
