Position, size and arrow¶
Control where an item appears in relation to the page, how wide it is, and whether it has an arrow.
Who can do this: All Flook users
Tooltips and highlights¶
- In the Flook Builder, open the item.
- On the Essentials tab, find the Widget section.
- Under Placement, choose:
- Auto: Flook puts it on whichever side of the element has the most space.
- Manual: choose a side from the picker. If there isn't enough room, it flips to the opposite side.
- Optional: use Offset to nudge it away from the element.
- Optional: turn on Max width and set a Width in pixels (the default is 300).
- Turn the Arrow on or off. The arrow points at the element.
- Click Save.
Popups¶
- Open the popup.
- Under Placement, pick a spot on the grid: one of the corners, one of the edges, or the centre.
- Optional: use Offset to move it away from the edge of the screen.
- Set the Width if you need to (the default is 400).
- Click Save.
Close button and branding¶
For highlights and popups that aren't in a tour:
- Dismissible shows a close button.
- Flook Branding shows the Flook logo.
Tours have their own settings for these. See Tour general settings.
Tips¶
- Items never go wider than most of the screen, so they still fit on smaller screens.
- If there isn't room for the arrow, Flook hides it.
