Admins and editors: who can do what¶
Understand the two roles in Flook and what each one can do.
Who can do this: All Flook users
The two roles¶
Every Flook user in a company is either an Admin or an Editor.
| Admin | Editor | |
|---|---|---|
| Create and edit tours, tooltips, highlights, popups and themes | ✓ | ✓ |
| Find, publish and delete content in the dashboard | ✓ | ✓ |
| Copy the snippet from Install | ✓ | ✓ |
| Update their own profile | ✓ | ✓ |
| Change company details (Settings → Company) | ✓ | |
| Manage websites (Settings → Websites) | ✓ | |
| Add a website from the Flook Builder | ✓ | |
| Invite, remove and change the role of team members (Settings → Team) | ✓ | |
| Upgrade and see invoices (Settings → Invoices) | ✓ |
What editors see¶
- In Settings, editors only see Profile.
- If an editor opens the Flook Builder on a website that isn't allowed, they're asked to contact an admin, instead of being offered Add website.
- During a free trial, editors see Ask an admin to upgrade instead of Upgrade now.
Tips¶
- Your role can be different in each company you belong to.
- To find out who your admins are, ask your team. Editors can't see the Team page.
