The Flook Builder says this site isn't in your allowed websites

Understand the messages the Flook Builder shows when the website you're on doesn't belong to your company, and what to do.

Who can do this: All Flook users. Adding a website needs an admin.

Why this happens

When you open the Flook Builder, it checks the website you're on against your company's websites in Settings → Websites. If they don't match, you'll see one of the messages below.

"This site isn't in your allowed websites"

Flook only runs on the websites your company allows, and this isn't one of them.

If you're an admin, you'll see three buttons:

  • Add website adds this site to your allowed websites. You'll see Website added when it's done.
  • Change settings opens Settings → Websites in the dashboard.
  • Switch companies appears if you belong to more than one company.

If you're an editor, ask an admin to add the website. If you belong to more than one company, you can click Switch companies.

"This site isn't in your allowed websites for …", and it's registered to another company

The website belongs to another company you're a member of.

  • Click Switch companies to work on it in that company.
  • If you're an admin and you want it in this company too, click Add website.

"You are on …"

Your company allows Flook on all websites, but this isn't your main website. Nothing is wrong.

  • Click Stay here if this is another address for the same site.
  • Click Go to main website to work on your main website instead.

You'll only see this once each time you open your browser.

"Add website" or "Configuration issue"

Your company doesn't have a website yet.

  • Admins see Add website. Click Add website to use the site you're on as your main website.
  • Editors see Configuration issue. Ask an admin to add a website.

"Signup incomplete"

You're signed in, but you're not part of a company yet. Click Complete sign up to create one, or ask a colleague to invite you.

"Trial period ended"

Your company's free trial has ended. Click Upgrade. See Your free trial and upgrading.

"There was an error adding the website. Please try in the admin area"

Flook couldn't add the website from the Flook Builder. Add it in Settings → Websites instead.
